WILLIAM T. MORRIS, AIA

Mr. Morris is a native of Knoxville, Tennessee where he attended the University of Tennessee School of Architecture.  After joining KBJM Architects, Inc. in 1978, his responsibilities expanded from draftsman to project manager with responsibilities of design and production coordination, overall project management, and maintaining client relationships.  Mr. Morris was made a principal in 1986 and assumed responsibility for the Mt. Juliet office.  His experience includes master planning and facility design for educational, religious, office, and commercial building types.  He became President of KBJM Architects, Inc. in January of 2002. Mr. Morris is currently licensed in Tennessee and Florida.

JASON MORRIS, AIA

Mr. Morris received a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from Tennessee State University.  He has experience in every phase of the design process from preliminary design through construction documents and contract administration. In recent years, Mr. Morris has been project manager over some of the larger school building programs in Middle  Tennessee including multiple projects for Robertson County Schools, Sumner County Schools, and Wilson County Schools.  As Project Architect, Jason is tasked with overseeing the design and production process through the bid phase and into construction. This includes  managing the entire design team in coordination with Owner’s staff and Construction Manager.  He currently holds registration in the State of Tennessee.

KATHY RICHARDS,
LEED A.P., CSI, NCIDQ

Mrs. Richards, while working closely with clients to develop programming requirements, has experience with both commerical and residential design.  She also has experience space planning/designing: researching, evaluating and selecting products: generating construction documents; and interior construction administration.  She is NCDIQ certified and has sat on the jury team for NCIDQ, and has served on the CSI board for two years. As of 2016, she expanded her roles to include commerical kitchen design and specifications.

JENNI COZART, NCIDQ

Mrs. Cozart came to KBJM Architects in 2009 as an intern.  Upon graduating from MTSU in 2010 with a degree in Interior Design, she has taken on various roles with the firm.  Her roles include 3D design, space planning/designing: researching, evaluating and selecting products; generating construction documents; and interior construction administration.  She is NCDIQ certified.

Mr. Dutch received a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Tennessee School of Architecture in 2019. He is currently on the path to licensure in the state of Tennessee. Mr. Dutch is gaining experience in every phase of the design from preliminary design through construction documents and project manager.

SANDY OLANDT, PE

Mrs. Olandt received her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University. She then went on to receive a Master of Science in Civil and Structural Engineering. Mrs. Olandt has experience in Educational Facilities, Nuclear Projects, Industrial Projects, Historic Renovations, Commercial Buildings, Community Buildings, Residential, and FEMA 361 Tornado Shelters. Mrs. Olandt’s responsibilities have included: conceptual design, calculations, drafting, specifications, engineering analysis, site development work, and construction support throughout the execution of a project.

STEVE G. MORRIS

Mr. Morris has been with KBJM since 1988. He is a graduate of East Tennessee State University with a BA in Construction Engineering. Prior to, during and after college he served in the US Army as a Construction Specialist, he worked in several construction company positions and owned his own home building and remodeling company. His primary rolls at KBJM are CAD drafting, detailing and Project Managing.

GARY C. KROMER, RA, CEFPI

Mr. Kromer received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Tennessee in 1976.  He has experience in many roles ranging from draftsman to designer to principal in charge.  Prior to his employment at KBJM, Mr Kromer was a principal from 1982-1990 of Cooper and Perry Architects where he was responsible for all aspects of project development from initial programming to contract administration.  Mr. Kromer joined KBJM in 1992, his duties include project management, maintaining client relationships, design and production coordination, and business development.  He currently holds registration in the State of Tennessee.

LARRY MARVEL, AIA, CSI

Mr. Marvel is a graduate of Purdue University, a member of the American Institute of Architects and the Construction Specifications Institute.  He has obtained certifications from CSI as a Certified Construction Specifier and a Certified Construction Contract Administrator. In 2008, he became a LEED AP. Prior to joining KBJM in 1989, Mr. Marvel held positions with Smith and Associates as a draftsman and Daverman Associates Architects as a contract administrator.  Presently, he is primarily engaged in specification writing, contract administration, and document quality control.  Mr. Marvel is currently licensed in Wisconsin.

Miss.
