WILSON COUNTY

MT. JULIET HIGH SCHOOL

NEW SCHOOL-2007

Mt. Juliet High School is a 315,000 square foot facility for grades 9-12, designed with a core capacity of 2,000 students.  The 55 acre campus is located in Mt. Juliet,  Tennessee.

This school was designed to replace the existing, inadequate high school facilities.  Careful consideration was taken for site placement, adjacency of buildings and spaces within the buildings, as well as security and safety issues.

A circular drive at the main entrance to the building alleviates traffic back-up onto the main road. Traffic circulation for students is streamlined to occur through the secondary student commons entrance, allowing sufficient space for vehicular traffic to cue. A three-story atrium area connects the levels of the academic wing of the building and provides fluid circulation to all floors. The ball fields are arranged as to utilize a central field house, including restrooms, locker rooms, and concession stand.
