Our firm, founded in Knoxville just after the Civil War by Joseph Baumann, practiced under the Baumann name until 1965. Throughout the years, as principals retired and others advanced in a growing company, the name has changed to reflect the current principals.

In 1978 our firm made the commitment to place our major emphasis on the planning and design of educational facilities. Since that time, we have been involved in projects of more than 600 schools with combined construction budgets in excess of one billion dollars. Approximately eighty percent of our current activity centers around the planning and design of educational facilities.

Our home office, located in Mt. Juliet, was designed and built in 1995/96. Since we are conveniently located in Middle Tennessee, we are able to service our clients from a central location in a timely manner.
